the year has come and gone It is unbelievable how fast it went. We saw some incredible new design of light fittings which we launched with great pride and success. All the European companies that we represent have gone through great efforts to assure that delivery times were short and quality was high and they have promised us that 2009 won't be different.

Because of the hectic lifestyle we are sometimes stuck in, we sometimes tend to forget to look around us and see that 2008 wasn't such a good year for those less fortunate being victims of worldwide economical crisis. In 2009, ELDC will do their share and try to bring some light into the lives of those who are going through difficult times.... read more about this and other 'hot' items in this news letter.

The ELDC team whishes all of you a save festive season, merry christmas and an unforgettable start of 2009 !

marset - discoco Designed by christophe mathieu, the discoco reminds us of known designs of Verner Panton and Ingo Maurer. This sculptural piece is available in 2 sizes, 53cm and 88cm.

oluce - line Designed by Francesco Rota, suspension made out of pyrex gas with a high gloss aluminium dark light reflector.
luceplan - lady costanza Designed by Paolo Rizzatto, Lady Costanza, the latest evolution of a thriving project, allows the warm light of the shade to be positioned over a dining table or in the centre of a conversation area. The extraordinary lightness of the structure and the handle that characterizes the base make it ever so easy to move the lamp around the room freely, true to the founding concepts of this project: movement, flexibility, relations. The diffuser is available in white, red and black.

royal botania - lampalair Just a floor standing lamp you say? Wrong ! This is a fully waterproof outdoor standing lamp. A stainless steel stem on a granite base with a polycarbonate shade. The black granite base is heavy enough to withstand the 'cape doctor'.

new year, new premises ELDC has grown out of its current building and will be moving in the first half of 2009. New premises have been purchased where we will have high-tec offices and a state of the art showroom to serve you, our valued customers, better.

the 'beyond the gap' campaign In the beginning of 2009 eldc will be launching a national charity campaign. The intention is to raise funds in collaboration with our partners/dealers to support several ngo's that focus on stimulating creativity (design) in under privileged communities. We know of course that food and shelter are primary necessities for those who have nothing but to really develop as human beings this is not enough. More news about this initiative will follow soon.

We have attached our 'working' logo. Please let your creative minds work on this logo and please send us the results. Any ideas on a more suitable name for the campaign, let us know. Together we can make a difference !
